About Ugly Dolls and Pretty Ugly, LLC
From the creative minds of two love struck artists David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim emerge the Uglydoll family! What began as a drawing of a playful orange character referred to as Wage has become a complete new world of fun! In 2001, when David's quickly to be spouse and artistic partner Sun-Min needed to return to Korea, he sent her many "I miss you" letters with hellos little Wage persona drawn on the backside.
Sun-Min sewed Wage into a push doll and despatched hellom to David as a shock reward. David asked Sun-Min to stitch a pair extra for the Giant Robot retailer in Los Angeles and they offered out in a single day! A very excited Sun-Min sewed many more and people sold only as fast! Sun-Min and David then began to tug extra personas from the Uglyverse, a universe where UGLY supposed distinctive and different, to translate into plush Uglydolls.
